Joel Greenblatt, the creator of the financial 'magic formula' who knows how to pick the right notes, buying good companies at bargain prices. Stanley Druckenmiller, with his keen ear for macroeconomic trends. How do we pick the stocks in this basket?
We select and allocate the stocks in this certificate according to quantitative criteria, taking into account the size of the holding positions within the portfolios of the investment companies, as well as their most recent highest-conviction calls, based on their latest SEC Form 13F reports.
The SEC Form 13F is a quarterly report that must be filed by institutional investment managers with at least $100 million in assets under management. These reports are typically available up to 45 days after the end of each quarter, resulting in a time lag before we can access the information.
Additionally, it is important to note that these filings do not disclose all positions held by the investment company. For instance, private equities and short selling activities are not included in these reports. Nonetheless, they offer valuable insights into the actions and allocations of smart money investors.
